A recent press release reports, “Zettaset, a leading provider of software-defined encryption solutions, today announced that it has joined the Cloud Foundry Foundation, home to a number of open source projects including Cloud Foundry Application Runtime, Cloud Foundry Container Runtime and Cloud Foundry BOSH, as a Silver member. Zettaset joins Dell EMC, Google, IBM, Pivotal, SAP and VMware, in addition to prominent end users including American Airlines, Fidelity, Ford, Home Depot, Volkswagen and more than 60 other technology innovators, as a member. Through the membership, Zettaset will empower Cloud Foundry developers to integrate scalable, flexible and secure encryption capabilities into their cloud-based applications. ‘We are excited to join the Cloud Foundry Foundation to help the community develop and deliver secure and scalable cloud applications,’ said Jim Vogt, President and CEO, Zettaset. ‘Our artifact encryption product for BOSH Backup and Restore provides Cloud Foundry users with a cryptographic solution that protects and scales with their DevOps deployments. We look forward to releasing additional products in 2019 that will secure and protect other Cloud Foundry components to accelerate the adoption of DevOps in the enterprise’.”

The release goes on, “Zettaset’s software-only approach to encryption simplifies deployment and eliminates the need for proprietary appliances, making it an ideal solution for cloud applications. Its configurable key policies and administration provides the flexibility necessary for large-scale deployments. Designed to be deployed across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures, Zettaset drastically reduces the total cost of ownership compared to legacy solutions. The company’s products can be deployed and maintained by existing IT and DevOps staff and do not require specialized encryption experts.”
