Job Title: Digital Content Writer

Job Description: DATAVERSITY Digital, LLC is a producer of educational resources for business and Information Technology (IT) professionals on the uses and management of data. Our team strives to provide high-quality content to our worldwide community of practitioners, experts, and developers who participate in and benefit from face-to-face hosted conferences, free online events, live webinars, white papers, online training, articles and blog posts, and much more. As a Digital Content Writer, you’ll work with the Digital Content Manager and Managing Editor to create fresh new content to engage our audience of 205,000 unique visitors per month.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create engaging educational content focused on different areas of Data Management
- Research and write three articles per month on assigned topics related to Data Governance and Quality, Data Science, Analytics and Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, AI and Machine Learning, Data Literacy, Database, Enterprise Information Management, Data Architecture, and Data Strategy, and others
- Review interviews and transcriptions of conference sessions featuring data industry practitioners and experts to incorporate into articles
- Follow best practices for SEO and online rankings
- Work closely with Digital Content Manager and Managing Editor to ensure quality and accuracy of content
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Some digital content writing experience – experience in the field of Data Management a plus
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent educational background is preferred (but not required)
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Superior writing and research skills
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Ability to communicate technical, often complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to quickly respond to and incorporate editorial feedback
- Knowledge of AP Style is preferred
- Familiarity with DATAVERSITY’s mission, audience, and voice
