David Schlesinger, CISSP – Security Architect at Metadata Security LLC
David Schlesinger, CISSP, brings 27 years of experience in information technology and data security management to data security. He is certified in cybersecurity and is a past president of the Phoenix ISSA, a security professional association. David has authored two US Patents for data governance methods that use Metadata classifications to audit and automate user rights and regulatory compliance. His book on finding hidden security and governance gaps in an enterprise, The Hidden Corporation, is published by Technics Publications.
David consults with commercial, non-profit and government organizations here and abroad regarding information protection involving enhanced metadata, self-aware data architecture, data classification practices, and user security training. As a speaker on Data Security Architecture at national data management conferences, David has brought information security into focus as an essential yet missing aspect of standard data management.
As a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), David is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA); a member of INFRAGARD, a national cybersecurity organization sponsored by the FBI; a member of the ISC2 Security Association; and of the Data Administrators Management Association, (DAMA). David has served on the curriculum advisory boards regarding information security instruction at Phoenix ITT and Mesa Community Colleges. He was recently designated as a Senior Member by the National Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).
