QView Medical recently announced the presentation of QVCAD, the premier AI CAD system for concurrent readings of Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) exams. It will be covered in the research being presented at the 104th Annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting, on November 25th-30th, 2018 (at South Hall #3572). In the study, researchers evaluated the QVCAD standalone’s performance on Invenia ABUS and somo•v cases. Their study supplemented a previous observer study which had been performed using somo•v cases (the effects of QVCAD on Invenia cases was inferred). The study included 164 somo•v (31 cancer cases) and 145 Invenia (25 cancer cases) cases. The results suggested QVCAD reduced reading time and offered the non-inferior reader performance that can be expected with Invenia cases.
QVCAD will also be shown in four sessions at the GE Vender Workshop. “Introduction to QView and QVCAD/ABUS Case Review – The AI Deep Learning Radiology Assist in Reviewing GE Invenia ABUS Cases” will be on Sunday-Wednesday, from 11am-12noon, at Booth 8156. The sessions will be led by Dr Kiyoshi Namba, the Director of the Breast Cancer Center at the Hokuto Healthcare Group, Japan, will discuss the latest technological advances in ABUS design and performance. Attendees will find out how improvements in workflows and image quality can increase cancer detection dense breast tissue.
