A recent article out of the company reports, “Netwrix Corporation, the first to introduce a visibility and governance platform that supports both on-premises and hybrid cloud IT environments, today introduced the Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance, a new deployment option for Netwrix Auditor. The Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance is quick and easy to deploy, with no hardware or software provisioning required, and ensures continuous governance over the entire IT environment. Netwrix Auditor is a visibility and governance platform that enables control over changes, configurations and access in hybrid cloud IT environments to protect data regardless of its location. The platform provides security analytics to detect anomalies in user behavior and investigate threat patterns before a data breach occurs.”
The article continues, “According to the 2016 Netwrix IT Risks Survey, less than 17% of organizations are confident about their ability to beat cyber risks. Most of them face serious obstacles on their way to security and complain about lack of resources, including both budget (49%) and time (47%). These issues prevent them from having complete visibility into their IT infrastructure, which 78% agree is a cornerstone of any IT security strategy. The Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance solves these issues.”
It goes on, “The key benefits of the new deployment option include: (1) Cost efficiency and faster time to value. 2014 SQL Server Express with Reporting Services, 2012 Windows Server 2012 R2, Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) and the scripts necessary to automate virtual appliance provisioning are all pre-installed, enabling organizations to slash costs and quickly deploy and start using the appliance. (2) Interoperability. As a result of Netwrix’s VMware Ready status and strategic partnership with Microsoft, the Netwrix Auditor virtual appliance is fully supported and certified by VMware and also fully supported and tested on Microsoft Hyper-V.”
