Though we monitor topic popularity daily, we like to stop every six months or so to do a deep dive into what subscribers are reading. What’s hot and trending? Our top twenty includes Data Blogs, Articles, Data Dailies (News), and other formats published throughout the year.
Quick Highlights
In January 2015 we merged DATAVERSITY.net and SemanticWeb.com. We put the Data Topic category of Semantic Technologies under the larger new category of “Smart Data” along with Cognitive Computing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence. This change certainly shifted the content being consumed by our readers. As the traffic from the two sites have grown and the two site readership blended, we continue to see the impact Big Data has had in Data Management education. Research into NoSQL databases continues to rise. We see the continued trend into research on how to Model NoSQL Databases and more and more we are getting questions of how to manage metadata in a Big Data environment. We’ve likewise seen a jump in Data Science content, most specifically paths to becoming a Data Scientist.
