Janine Joseph is the Director of Data Management – Business Insurance at Travelers. She has extensive experience in governance, stewardship, metadata, data quality and data warehousing. She has worked to evolve the corporate commitment of data governance to encompass a broader, multi-tiered structure that closely aligns the business and IT communities. She has led efforts to create metadata repositories winning the 2008 Wilshire Best Practices Metadata award for her work at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. She has also led efforts for Target Corporate to build their data management disciplines both domestically and internationally. She received a BS from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota and completed a mini master of software design and development from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
